Lots of Celtic fans have been reacting to news that has emerged from the club ahead of the January transfer window.
The club confirmed that they have signed three players from the J-League in the form of Daizen Maeda, Yosuke Ideguchi and Reo Hatate, noting that they “will all be registered with Celtic in early January, subject to the usual conditions and international clearance”.
Given Ange Postecoglou’s previous in Japan when he was in charge of Yokohama F. Marinos, and the success of another J-League import in the form of Kyogo Furuhashi, it’s no surprise to see the club have gone back to bring in some more players as they look to close the gap at the top of the table.
The news of their arrivals was relayed to fans by the club’s Twitter account, where there was much jubilation amongst them, some just seemingly happy they had done their business so early before the window had even opened:
“This is tremendous. Early business conducted for once, you love to see it!”
Will Ange lead Celtic to the league this season?
Yes
No
Credit should really go to the club for getting the deals done early, rather than leaving things until the last minute and having to go through the stress of dealing with the perils of transfer deadline day.
