Celtic fans have been reacting to comments that have emerged from boss Ange Postecoglou following their win in the Scottish Premiership.

The Bhoys ran out 3-1 winners against St. Johnstone on Boxing Day as they continue to keep pressure on their Glasgow rivals at the top of the table, as two goals from Liel Abada and one from Nir Bitton were enough to seal three points.

However, speaking after the match, it was off-pitch matters that caused something of a firestorm. In his interview with Sky Sports (via @BrenCelt), Postecoglou was asked whether or not the change in the Scottish winter break was coming at the right time for the club given their depleted numbers.

Do you know your Celtic-supporting celebrities? First up: which Scottish snooker star is a Hoops fan?

The Australian took issue with the question, claiming that he only wanted the break to change so that fans could be allowed in stadiums, saying: ‘We didn’t want to keep playing, not because of any other reason’.

The footage was relayed by @Gastro_Celtic for the fans to react to, and it generated some very interesting responses from supporters who were right behind their boss with his remarks:

“Joyous use of “mate” Deliciously aggressive”

“Big Ange takes no snash. Puts them in their place.”
“He’s 100% spot on. Why would anybody support empty stadium football? Villa Chelsea is a near full house. Hopefully after the break we can all get back.”
“Absolutely different class”
“Big man gets it”
“I love this man”

Following the decision by the Scottish government last week to limit supporters in stadiums, online support is going to be the only backing that he’ll be getting for the next few weeks.
