A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left worried on Twitter to see an update from Sky Sports on the future of Dilan Markanday.

The youngster was handed his first-team debut under Nuno Espirito Santo in the Europa Conference League, however, he’s still yet to be afforded any kind of minutes in the Premier League and has been absent from several matchday squads under Antonio Conte.

Because of this lack of minutes under the new manager, Sky Sports has claimed (17:18, 30/11) that Markanday has been offered a new contract by Spurs, but he may well look to leave permanently in January in search of regular first-team football.

Markanday is 20 years old now and will be looking to get his first-team career going. He could potentially look to Oliver Skipp to see how a productive loan spell in the Championship has turned him into a regular in this Spurs side.
