Tottenham Hotspur fans have been enjoying the positive energy that comes with a new manager since Antonio Conte’s arrival.

New managers always want to start to put their own stamp on the team and will identify the players they need and those they don’t.

One player that appears to not be in Conte’s plans is Joe Rodon, with the Wales international ‘100%’ wanting to leave the club according to Spurs Web via Football Insider.

He has made just six appearances all season for Spurs, mainly featuring in the Conference League where he has turned out four times so far (via TransferMarkt).

Below is a selection of the reaction from Spurs fans about Rodon’s potential exit.

What the Spurs fans had to say about Rodon

“Should be starting ahead of Sanchez.” @thfclp_

“Shame – I’m sure a lot of teams including Premiership teams that will make enquiries!” @firemissionover

“Don’t blame him. Decent player but he clearly hasn’t convinced any of these recent managers that he should be in the starting 11.” @DavidTh20784209

“I can’t see how anyone can judge him as he hasn’t had a decent run in the side yet!! He’s been awesome for Wales, give him a chance I say!!” @MarkSal68104301

“Man should be starting every week, how Sanchez gets playing in front of him is a strange one.” @DarrenMccaskie

“Rodon is better than most of our defenders.” @9demonfox

“Terminate his contract and let him play for stoke or something” @thfc_bad

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

It’s clear to see how highly regarded the 24 year-old is by the Spurs fans, who are clearly disappointed with the rumours.

There’s not many things more frustrating for football fans than when a player you feel should be playing isn’t and is ultimately forced to move away.

Rodon still has a few weeks before the window opens to force his way into Conte’s plans. A tough ask, but if he’s as good as the Spurs fans say then there’s no reason why he can’t.
