A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have voiced their frustrations on Twitter at the latest news to emerge on Cristian Romero’s injury.

The Spurs defender has been out of action since the last international break after suffering a hamstring injury during his time with Argentina.

Will Romero be a big miss?

Yes

Yes

No

No

And it has been revealed by Antonio Conte that the Argentine will not feature again this year and is likely to be out until January or February, with the injury worse than initially thought.

With the Argentine set for another spell out of the Spurs side, fans flocked to Twitter to voice their frustrations after the update on the £31.5m-rated ace was revealed.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“It couldn’t get any worse than this smh”

“we are finished man”
“Season over..”
“God Sanchez is just gonna keep starting instead isn’t he. Awful news.”
“The curse continues………”
“That’s all we need”

Romero has had a really difficult start to life in north London since joining in the summer, with injuries and quarantine regulations robbing the 23-year-old of minutes on the pitch (via Transfermarkt).

The centre-back has only made a handful of league appearances and it is apparent by the reaction of these fans he has impressed, as they are now set for the busy festive period without his presence.

  • Tony Borg says:

If we bring in Antonio Conte to get this team winning things and instilling a winning mentality you have to back him and do the things he wants done or there is absolutely no point in bringing him in. Levy get rid of the players he doesn’t think good enough and let him sign the quality signings he wants, we’ve done it Levy’s way for 20 years, which hasn’t worked. Back Conte or sell up. This has to be ENIC’s last chance.
