Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to transfer claims surrounding a potential move for goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
Henderson has long been a target for Tottenham, with reports claiming that they were on a shortlist of ‘potential suitors’ had he left Old Trafford last summer.
And now, according to a report from The Manchester Evening News, the Manchester United ‘keeper is facing an uncertain time at his current club, as it notes that Henderson is “desperate to get regular playing time after missing the start of the season” through illness.
It later goes on to state: “Tottenham are monitoring Henderson’s situation with a view to a summer transfer as Hugo Lloris approaches the last six months of his contract.”
The news was relayed by a number of Tottenham accounts on Twitter including @TottenhamTiers and @thespursweb for fans to react to, and it’s fair to say that there were a number of them who were rather excited to hear the news come across their timelines, even if some of them did still want to hold on to current shot-stopper Hugo Lloris for just a little bit longer:
“Yes he’s a good goalie & an ideal replacement for Hugo. I would ideally like to keep Hugo for another year or so too”
If Lloris were to leave, would you prefer Spurs signed Henderson or Johnstone?
Johnstone
Henderson
Henderson has been on the radar since his impressive spell at Sheffield United in 2019/20, so you can see why these fans would be excited at the chances of signing him, but whether or not they’ll be able to is a different matter.
