A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans were left gutted on Twitter to see the latest Dele Alli claim.

It has been a very swift and slightly surprising downward spiral by Alli given how well his Tottenham Hotspur career started, which saw him rack up 44 goal contributions across his first two seasons but currently, he’s yet to score from open play since the 2019/20 campaign in the league.

Will Alli leave in January?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

David Ornstein of The Athletic claimed on Monday that Spurs were now willing to let Alli leave after rejecting offers for him in the past, but it may not be that simple, as Dan Kilpatrick has claimed that the club do not expect their valuation of the player to be met, thus a temporary switch is a more likely outcome.

A lot of Spurs fans are annoyed on Twitter following this Alli claim.

What have these Tottenham fans been saying?

“3 seasons too late if you ask me sell him for £1 why loan him out just get rid”

@tanya_leona

“Here’s the issue with us, over the last few years . Overvaluation of dross . Shambles”

@SimplyStefario

“Overvaluing our deadwood has been a huge issue for years. It can’t continue”

@Tottingham_Sean

“Levy is letting down conte isn’t he”

@Alfiethfc696969

“We’d be lucky to get £5m back”

@RjLevyOut

“Then drop the valuation it’s simple really. Get him gone along with all of the others conte doesn’t want and move on”

@richardhayes46

Alli may see it as his best opportunity to leave Spurs on a temporary basis as his form might not convince some clubs to sign him permanently and thus, showcasing his ability until the end of the season could earn him a lucrative move somewhere in the summer.

    It makes sense to me to let Dele go out on loan. He only needs a change of scenery to get hi mojo back and he will be back to his best. Then Levy will be able to sell him for what he is worth.
    I just think Mourinho damaged him as far as his Spurs career goes.

    We need to sell, get these dead beat lazy players off our wage bill and fill their places with players that will run through walls for the club and manager, if all the players showed as much passion as Conte we’d be challenging for the title, let alone 4th.
