Speaking on the FIVE YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has dropped an update on where Tottenham Hotspur stand in terms of Harry Kane’s future.

Kane was at the centre of a long and drawn-out transfer saga over the summer as Manchester City lodged an audacious bid for the England striker, only for Tottenham to hold firm on their stance of not wanting to let him go.

Spurs may well be regretting that decision given how poor Kane has been this season, with the striker having scored just one league goal this term – and that came against bottom club Newcastle United.

Will Spurs finish in the top four?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

However, despite his poor form in front of goal this campaign, Spurs don’t appear eager to let the striker go and reinvest the money back into the squad.

Romano has revealed where Spurs stand in terms of Kane’s future being with or without Tottenham.

“They expect again, rumours around Man City and Harry Kane, but the position from Spurs, from what I’m told, is still the same as this summer. They want Harry Kane to stay and they think that in January, nothing is going to happen.

“Also, Antonio Conte wants the player to stay, he’s 100% convinced he’ll be perfect for him. So the plan for Tottenham in January, whatever is going to happen with Man City, is to keep Harry Kane at the club, and this is what they have in their mind.”

TIF Thoughts on Kane…

If Kane’s form continues like this for the remainder of the season and his head is not in the game and it’s clear he doesn’t want to be at the club, then Spurs may be better off letting him go for as much money as someone like Man City will pay for the striker, and then using that money to let Antonio Conte mould the squad into his own.

Spurs have had quite a few odd players over the years, but can you remember them? Here is the first one, who is this former Tottenham man?

The ship may well have already sailed in terms of Kane securing a big move away, with the likes of Dusan Vlahovic, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland all set to be on the move next summer, and with all three considerably younger than Kane, clubs may opt for a player with their best years still ahead of them and planning for the long term.

There is absolutely no chance Levy will sign Vlahovic if Kane stays, he couldn’t bring himself to spend that kind of money, it’d break his heart to spend that. Levy, Lewis and ENIC OUT !!!
