A large number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter to share their excitement at the latest claim to emerge regarding a potential takeover.
According to The Telegraph, a Singapore internet firm has denied a potential investment bid for a stake in the north London club, with their chairman, Forrest Li, spotted at a recent game.
Would you like to see ENIC sell up?
Yes
No
The Singaporean entrepreneur is believed to be the wealthiest man in the country with an estimated net worth of £15 billion, and he already is the chairman of a Singapore-based football club, Lion City Sailors.
It is believed Li attended a Spurs game as Daniel Levy’s guest which has left these fans speculating despite the firm denying any potential investment.
What did these Spurs fans have to say?
“SAY WALLAHI ENIC ARE GOING”
On the pitch, things are looking up for the Lilywhites following the arrival of Antonio Conte, who has now taken 11 points from his five Premier League games at the helm.
Although matters on the pitch are looking positive, it seems these fans would love to see some further investment in the side with the January transfer window just a matter of days away.
And despite the firm reportedly denying the claim, it is apparent these fans feel there is no smoke without fire as they remain optimistic about a potential bid.
