A large number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter to share their delight at the latest claim to emerge on the future of Bryan Gil.

According to reports, the Spanish winger, who only joined Spurs in the summer, has been offered by his agent to Barcelona ahead of the January transfer window.

What should Spurs do with Gil?

This comes amid the Spanish side’s debacle over Ousmane Dembele’s future, who is now believed not to be renewing his deal with Xavi’s side due to failed negotiations on Wednesday, while he has been linked to Spurs in recent weeks.

Despite only playing 657 minutes for the Lilywhites since arriving in the summer, these fans flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on a potential exit for the 20-year-old.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Tears we are being ambitious”

“Love Gil but seems like there is a deal to be made if Dembele is actually interested. Swap them and give them a little** cash since his contract is out in summer plus wage difference! Win win win for all parties”
“Shame to lose this kid with a ton of potential, but if we upgrade I’m all for it.”
“Yes please”
“Super ok with this.. We need to be more ruthless as a club”
“Another Paratici masterclass”

Gil is yet to even start for Spurs in the Premier League, with just a handful of cameo appearances off the bench as he remains in search of his first goal for the north Londoners (via Transfermarkt).

After what has been a tricky start to life in N17 for Gil, it seems these fans would not object to seeing him depart if it potentially opened the door for Dembele to replace him.

This is not exactly surprising given the Frenchman has been able to contribute towards 54 goals since arriving in Spain and with Spurs even facing the brunt of his ability at the Nou Camp in 2018.
