Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on a recent transfer claim linking them with Philippe Coutinho.

According to The Sunday Mirror (via talkSPORT), the Lilywhites have been offered the opportunity to sign the Brazilian playmaker in January from La Liga giants Barcelona.

Could Coutinho be the Eriksen replacement?

It is believed Barca have offered both Spurs and Newcastle United the opportunity to acquire the 29-year-old, with Coutinho believed to be less interested in the Tyneside club.

With previous experience in the Premier League from his days with Liverpool, these fans flocked to Twitter to share their excitement over the transfer rumour.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Hahaha… Y’all ain’t ready for us… Buckle up”

This would be a game changing move for us. @SpursOfficial make it happen.”
“I’d take him any time of the day”
“I would happily take him on loan for 6 months to see how he does. Unreal talent if he’s up for it”
Please sign him @spurs we will have a goal scoring midfield with a great eye for a pass and also someone who can dictate the tempo of a game”

Coutinho has had a tricky couple of seasons in La Liga with his game time dwindling, as the Brazilian is yet to complete 90 minutes in the league this season.

And given Spurs have struggled in front of goal this season in terms of creating chances, it seems these fans believe Coutinho could be the man to change Tottenham’s productivity in attack.
