Tottenham Hotspur fans are horrified with Antonio Conte as he names his side to take on Norwich City this afternoon.

Still relatively new to the job, the fans are still hanging on every word and decision Conte makes. Not surprising when you look at his record with clubs like Chelsea and Inter Milan, it’s clearly a very good appointment for them. Today though they aren’t happy, Emerson is not in the squad and the fans are distraught.

If he is to instil his league winning mentality into this Spurs side, these are the sort of games where they need to be ruthless. Any team that is to compete for the league and push for the top positions can’t afford slip ups against relegation favourites.

Do you think Antonio Conte will be a success at Tottenham Hotspur?

Which player scored Spurs' first goal of the Premier League campaign?

A win today could see Spurs climb above fierce rivals Arsenal and into fifth. They’re currently a point behind Mikel Arteta’s men and five points off West Ham who occupy the last Champions League place at the moment.

A slip up today could be costly, West Ham have shown their credentials for a top four spot, beating Liverpool and Chelsea already this season. The further you fall behind, even early in the season, puts you on the back foot straight away.
