A large number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on an image to emerge during their Carabao Cup clash on Wednesday night. 

During Sky Sports’ coverage of the quarter-final clash, a statistic displayed the contrast between Antonio Conte’s Spurs and the N17 side under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Will Spurs win the Carabao Cup this season?

According to the stat, in the Premier League, Espirito Santo’s Spurs ran an average of 100km per game – the worst tally in the league – but under the Italian, they are now running an average of 115km per game – the best total in the division.

The Lilywhites progressed to the semi-finals of the League Cup with a 2-1 victory over London rivals West Ham United, and these fans flocked to Twitter to share their delight.

And it is clear these fans are delighted with life under the 52-year-old, with the progression in the players’ fitness evident for all to see.
