Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have expressed their excitement on Twitter at a recent claim to emerge from Hotspur Way on the club’s transfer plans for January.

According to The Evening Standard, Antonio Conte, Fabio Paratici and Daniel Levy have been discussing potential transfer targets ahead of next month’s window.

The claim comes just a matter of weeks before the Italian manager will be given his first opportunity to put his own stamp on the Spurs side he had inherited when he accepted the job in November.

Spurs are currently seven points behind their local rivals in the race for the top four, however, they hold four games in hand on Arsenal and it is clear these fans are excited by the prospect of their squad being bolstered for the second half of the season.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Omds”

“Things you love to hear”

One of the main names to be linked with the north London side ahead of January has been Dusan Vlahovic of Fiorentina with the Lilywhites also linked with the striker over the summer.

Spurs have not exactly lit the league up in front of goal this season, so perhaps addressing their frontline could be the key to success for Conte.

But it is clear from the outpour from these fans that there is clear optimism with the Spurs trio holding discussions over their plans for January.

Lol, that’ll be the day. Levy has never fully backed any manager, that is exactly why we haven’t won anything under Levy. Vlahovic is a must in the transfer window, whatever the cost, he would be the future striker for Spurs for the next decade. He’d be worth every penny.

  • Tony Borg says:

If we had Vlahovic today we’d have won that game in a canter. The chances that we missed were unbelievable. Vlahovic is a must in January, do not leave us short again and miss out on him Levy.
