A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted on Twitter to news of interest in Steven Bergwijn.
The Dutch winger was signed by Jose Mourinho in January 2020 but has failed to nail down a regular starting spot under either Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo or current boss Antonio Conte.

Having proved himself to be a lethal player in the Eredivisie, it’s no surprise that he has been linked with a move back to his home country, although it wouldn’t be with his former club PSV, but Ajax, who have ‘officially announced’ their interest in Bergwijn, as reported by De Telegraaf.

If Bergwijn can’t hit the same form in the Premier League as he did in Holland, then it may make sense for him to venture back into the Eredivisie, although having already represented PSV, joining Ajax would be a bold decision.
