Greg O’Keeffe has been speaking on the All Together Now podcast about Everton’s imminent new signing Vitaliy Mykolenko.

After reports claimed that Rafa Benitez and Lucas Digne had an argument in front of other players during training the Frenchman has not featured in any of the matchday squads and now looks set to be pushed further out the picture.

Is Mykolenko a good signing for Everton?

Yes!

No!

No!

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Mykolenko is to undergo his Everton medical and has already agreed personal terms ahead of a January move which will likely see him as the club’s first-choice left-back given Digne’s current situation.

O’Keeffe spoke about what he’s heard about Mykolenko.

(18:00) “Vitaliy Mykolenko, for his age, 22, he’s a very experienced Ukraine International and you’ll remember that England beat Ukraine quite convincingly in the Euros in the summer. I’m not going to profess to watching this guy but I’m hearing good things about him.”

TIF Thoughts on Mykolenko…

Being able to sign a 22-year old who is already a regular international for any side should surely be seen as a top signing and his age makes it even more impressive as he has the potential to grow and get better under Rafa Benitez.

Some Everton fans may recognise the name or face as he did play against England at Euro 2020 but despite tasting defeat that night, Toffees fans will just be hoping that he can sure up their defence which has shipped 29 goals in the league this season.
