A whole host of Newcastle United fans are fuming on Twitter after seeing their club being linked with a double swoop for James Tarkowski and Ben Mee.
Newcastle were able to register their first win of the season last weekend when they beat relegation-threatened Burnley thanks to a Callum Wilson goal and also earn their first Premier League clean sheet of the campaign.
The Clarets were without their usual captain in Mee, but Tarkowski was present and mentioned the atmosphere during his post-match interview. The Telegraph had previously reported that Tarkowski is one of the main transfer targets for the new owners.

Now though, the Daily Mirror is claiming that the Magpies could make an audacious double swoop in January for both Mee and Tarkowski, which would be an almighty blow for Sean Dyche and Burnley.

This same report has claimed that if Mee and Tarkowski decide to join Newcastle in January, they will see their wages instantly doubled, and given that the latter is out of contract in the summer, he could see this is a superb opportunity.
