It’s been a season of immense disappointment and misery so far for Newcastle United fans. Things are slowly starting to look up for them, especially after finally getting a first win of the season in the relegation six-pointer with Burnley last week.

Eddie Howe looks to make it back-to-back wins this weekend as his side travel to Leicester City on Sunday at 2pm. With preparations well underway, the club released their latest training video, which took a behind-the-scenes look at what has been happening on the training ground.

After watching the video, the Newcastle fans were optimistic and positive after the struggles during the Steve Bruce tenure.

Will Newcastle be relegated?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

How the Newcastle fans reacted:

“Made my morning watching the full video. I’m much more confident and positive now we will stay up. The players are enjoying training under Howe and look as though they have really bought into what they are doing. Makes a mockery of Bruce.”

“Love seeing them being actually coached. How sad is that sentence btw.”

@AdsMac

“It’s so good no ‘Sports Direct’ everywhere.”

“Eddie’s intensity is obvious. This is needed for us to keep improving. I’m impressed by him so far. He seems to be trying to get the best out of them.”

@SeelsyA

“I need one of these a day. Thanks.”

@eddiemack5

“I’m so glad I can watch these again.”

Just look at that … passion and desire in abundance. Massive intensity and everyone fully engaged. Just look at Krafth at 4:54 putting in last ditch tackles and fighting with grit in training things you love to see”

To kick things off, which season is this kit from?

Evidently, the Toon Army are delighted to be not only moving on from the Steve Bruce era, but also the Mike Ashley era – finally seeing what they deem as proper training while the Sports Direct advertising around the ground and training ground has finally been removed.

The visual change of removing Mike Ashley’s advertising will make it easy for the fans to start to forget the pain they suffered under him, rather than be reminded of it, seeing the bright red and blue every time they enter the stadium.
