A whole host of Newcastle United fans were delighted on Twitter to see Paul Dummett back in first-team training.
Newcastle currently boast an unwanted record of having the worst defensive record outright in the Premier League, which has certainly not been helped having shipped 11 goals in their last three matches.
Should Dummett start for Newcastle?

They will not have been pleased, then, when Federico Fernandez picked up an injury last week, however, it could be a case of one in, one out for the Magpies as long-term absentee Dummett has now been pictured back in first-team training.

Dummett has not been seen at all this season under either Steve Bruce or Eddie Howe and has not been able to stay healthy over the last few years with injuries, having spent 529 days on the sidelines since the 2019/20 season. But with him back in training, that could see his injury setbacks become a thing of the past.
