Newcastle United fans haven’t had an enjoyable season so far, being the last club in the country to win a game, and still stuck in the bottom three.

However, after Brentford’s dramatic late comeback victory against Watford on Friday night, Newcastle can mathematically climb out of the bottom three this weekend.

While that is still unlikely as they need Burnley to slip up, then to beat Leicester themselves by four goals, it’s still possible. To mathematically be able to climb out of the bottom three, or even draw level with safety on points is huge for Newcastle given the start they’ve had.

It’s a major turnaround from where they were only a few weeks ago.

“Sunday’s atmosphere at SJP will be great.” @NUFC_Stark

“Oh hell yeah!” @MagTyneside

“WOW, thank God that’s all he wants.” @sultan77788

“Superb result.” @StephenJamesCFC

While the fans on Twitter are still realistic and aren’t expecting it to happen this weekend, they know the win could move them level. The chance of moving out has excited fans too.
