A whole host of Newcastle United fans on Facebook were fuming with Eddie Howe’s comments on Jamaal Lascelles.
Newcastle, for the sixth time this season, had to watch on as their team conceded a penalty, with no other team having given away more than four in the league prior to their latest clash against Liverpool, which pretty much sums up their season especially defensively.

There is one person behind 50% of their penalties being conceded, and that is their own captain Lascelles, but following his latest shocker against Leicester City, Eddie Howe has stood up for the skipper by saying, ‘he has my full support in that role… I thought Jamaal contributed to us in a lot of positive aspects of our game’, which has left some bemused.
A lot of Newcastle fans were certainly not happy on Facebook with Howe’s defence of Lascelles.

These Newcastle fans clearly don’t want to see Lascelles feature much more often for the Magpies, but given that Federico Fernandez is now out injured and Ciaran Clark has not featured since he was sent off against Norwich City, the former Nottingham Forest man may be handed more starts through nothing to do with his performances.
