Newcastle United: Fans flock to latest transfer claim

|

Newcastle United fans were ‘shocked’ to see themselves linked to Wolverhampton Wanderers star Rayan Ait-Nouri.

Eddie Howe knows that he needs to make improvements to the side he’s inherited at Newcastle if they are to stay in the Premier League this season, and with January just around the corner, links are appearing by the day.

This time, the Magpies have been linked with a move for Wolves defender Ait-Nouri. The left-back had been linked to Crystal Palace of late, but a recent report from Jeunes Footeux claims that the Magpies are prepared to battle Patrick Vieira’s men for his signature.

Fans reacted on Twitter to the rumour.

How many players do Newcastle need to sign?

Five or less?

Five or less?

More than five?

More than five?

How the Newcastle fans reacted…

A nice and easy one to start off with, how much is Callum Wilson worth?

It’s clear to see that the Toon Army would be delighted with this signing, which is perhaps unsurprising when you consider the abuse hurled at Matt Ritchie in recent weeks. While Jamal Lewis has impressed recently, it would be good for Howe to have options as he looks to kick on this season.

The Magpies are still stuck in the relegation zone after winning just one game all season; they were the last professional team in the country to register a victory. Howe will need a lot more of them and some quality signings in January if Premier League status is to be retained, so you can see why this report has been met with excitement.
