Eddie Howe continues to hunt for his first win as Newcastle boss, and has named his side to entertain Burnley this afternoon.
As always the fans have their opinions on the team, and they were far from impressed with Howe’s selection, leaving Federico Fernandez out. Tensions are clearly high on Tyneside as if the wins don’t start soon, it could be curtains for the Magpies, already falling away at the bottom of the table. They are the only club without a win in England this season!

Burnley head into the game after picking up seven points from the last five games. Sean Dyche’s men drew 2-2 at Southampton before winning 3-1 at home to Brentford. They were then held the league leaders Chelsea 1-1 at Stamford Bridge before sharing the points with Crystal Palace in a 3-3 draw. Last time out they were held to a goalless draw at Wolves.
Dyche and his team will clearly be confident of a result after avoiding defeat in 5 consecutive league games. It’ll clearly be a tough test for Newcastle, who know wins against fellow relegation candidates are like gold dust. Vital to any survival chances.
