A whole host of Newcastle United fans on Twitter were very happy to see the latest Dan Ashworth update.

The Magpies are now seemingly starting to crank up their pursuit of transfer targets, with both Kieran Trippier and Sven Botman looking to be two of the clubs’ main priorities, according to The Telegraph and the Daily Mail respectively.

Will Newcastle be relegated?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

This is all being done under the watchful eyes of Amanda Staveley and Nick Hammond, who is helping the club on a temporary basis – and that seems like all it will be for the former Celtic man.

Journalist Duncan Castles has claimed on The Transfer Window podcast that Dan Ashworth has been offered £2 million to take the director of football role on Tyneside and he is ‘leaning towards’ accepting the Toon’s offer.

A lot of Newcastle United fans are very happy on Twitter to see this update.

What have these Newcastle fans been saying?
