A large number of Leeds United fans have flocked to Twitter to share their concern at a recent post from Phil Hay on Marcelo Bielsa after Tuesday night’s game.

The Whites were on the receiving end of an emphatic defeat on Tuesday and Hay shared a touchline claim regarding the Argentine manager following the conclusion of the game.

Will Bielsa be at Leeds next season?

Yes

Yes

No

No

After shipping seven goals at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City, Hay spotted Bielsa staring at the pitch for a long period of time and saying very little, seemingly in the shock of the display he had just witnessed.

And with just a matter of months remaining on the 66-year-old’s deal with the Yorkshire side, these Leeds fans shared their concerns over Hay’s tweet.

What did these Leeds fans have to say?

“This worries me massively. It’s the perfect storm at the moment – brutal injuries, brutal fixture list and teams wanting to get one over on us. Fans need to stay behind the team all the way and get through this month with tails just about intact”

“i am so sad”
“Trying to not get worried”
“feels like he’s going to go”
“Please don’t leave us Bielsa”
“Extremely worried. I hope he doesn’t.”
“Noooooooo”

Concerns on the future of their manager aside, the defeat against Manchester City has piled the pressure on Leeds as they sit slumped five points ahead of 18th-placed Burnley, having played two extra games.

Bielsa has spearheaded Leeds’ return to the Premier League and last season’s impressive showing, so there is little surprise these fans are concerned by a downbeat Bielsa with just months left on his contract.
