Leeds United fans have been reacting to comments made by Chris Sutton about the club and their chances of staying in the Premier League.
The Whites didn’t make the best of starts to the season, taking until October to pick up their first league win, taking up a place in the relegation zone right before that win, leading some in Leeds circles to start talking about the impact that relegation would have.
Writing in an article for the Daily Mail – prior to Leeds’ victory over Crystal Palace – the former Premier League Golden Boot winner claimed that this season might be their last in the top flight, suggesting that Leeds United would go down following the appointment of Dean Smith at Norwich City and the boost that could give them, as he envisioned Marcelo Bielsa’s men joining Newcastle United and Burnley in the bottom three.
These comments were relayed to fans on the Leeds Insider Facebook page for them to react to (via MOT Leeds News), and it’s fair to say that his comments didn’t go down well with the Elland Road faithful:
Will Marcelo Bielsa be Leeds manager next season?
Yes
No
The win against the Eagles certainly offers them a boost, but there’s still a long way in the season still to go, and as their form at the start of the season shows, one more bad run and they could be right back in the mix for relegation once again very quickly.
