Lots of Leeds United fans have flooded to Twitter to share their delight at the latest update to emerge on Patrick Bamford’s return from injury.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the 28-year-old could be in contention to play in their Premier League game at the weekend at Elland Road.
Do you think Bamford will start against Burnley?
Bamford has had a torrid season due to injuries, having only featured six times in the Premier League with just 22 minutes to his name since September (via Transfermarkt).
Speaking to YEP, Bamford said: “It’s touch and go for Burnley. I’m feeling good. I’ve hit every marker that’s been laid down so far day to day, so it’s been a good improvement. It’s not a few weeks away. It’s very close.”
And as Leeds struggle in the Premier League this season, with just five points separating them and the drop, these fans flocked to Twitter to share their delight.
What did these Leeds fans have to say?
“be massive having him back for Burnley”
With a game against fellow strugglers Burnley to come, it is clear these fans feel the return of Bamford would be a huge boost as they aim to take three points off one of their relegation rivals.
