A number of Leeds United fans have reacted poorly online after seeing that Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey has been linked with a January move to their club.

As reported by Italian media outlet Calciomercato, the Welsh international is seen as a potential target, though any move could only be on an initial loan before more conversations would then potentially take place in the summer.

According to Transfermarkt, Ramsey still has two years left on his contract but he has played just 98 minutes in Serie A this season, so an exit may well be on the cards.

Details of the story were shared by leedsunited_news on Twitter and it didn’t take long before many supporters were expressing their thoughts.

Here’s what these Leeds fans said

“Oh no, not another fringe player, and at £115k a week? Only a mad club would take him.”
“My thoughts…there’s no way we would pay even a quarter of his wages.”
“He’s too injury prone and I don’t think we could afford his wages. He’ll be a dead cert for Newcastle.”
“Wouldn’t get a game.”
“Would take Ross Barkley over Ramsey any time. #LUFC.”
“My thoughts – I don’t believe it.”
“I think only Newcastle owners would be stupid enough to buy a player who is forever injured and on 400k a week.”
Judging from these Tweets, the Leeds faithful are not particularly excited to see their club linked with a move for the Serie A man.

There should be little doubting Ramsey’s quality – after all, he has 71 caps for his country (including 20 goals) and he has won silverware with both Arsenal and Juventus.

Still, despite all that, his long history of recurring injury issues seem to be a big put off for these supporters. Though with Everton and Newcastle also linked with the Welshman, perhaps Leeds would struggle to sign him anyway.
