Adam Jones has been speaking on the Royal Blue podcast about Farhad Moshiri’s latest attempt to communicate with Everton fans.

The Toffees fell to yet another defeat this midweek which made it an eighth game without a victory and while some may have thought Rafa Benitez’s job may be under pressure, Everton’s owner, Moshiri, made it known that the Spaniard has his full backing.

This seems like quite a normal thing to do from an owner though, but the way he released this information was not through any official club channel, but instead, he let Jim White of TalkSPORT know and then the presenter relayed that information.

Should Everton sack Benitez?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Jones has given his thoughts on the situation Moshiri has created.

(1:58) “I think it’s downright disrespectful, to be honest to Everton supporters, it’s a bit of a slap in the face. I don’t think anybody’s necessarily surprised that Farhad Moshiri has gone down his own sort of unique brand of communication in air quotes to go to Jim White and do this.

“Sending any sort of journalist or radio host or anybody like that a text and thinking that that’s going to be okay in a situation such as this is just  really disrespectful for those fans.”

TIF Thoughts on Moshiri…

It is a surprise that Moshiri has not come in for more criticism, but when you look at the amount of money he has pumped into the club, while also agreeing to build a new stadium, that seems to have helped deflect a lot of blame away from him.

Now though, with fans seeing their team struggle on the pitch and slipping towards the drop zone, they are realising how much money has actually been wasted and may rightfully want to know, what decisions is Moshiri making at the club, mainly so they can then direct their anger towards the correct person.
