West Bromwich Albion fans have been reacting to the performance of Jordan Hugill during their game in the Championship.
Valérien Ismael’s side came into the game on a pretty impressive run of form, only losing one game since the start of November, making sure that they stay hot on the heels of the top two in the Championship in their fight for automatic promotion back to the Premier League.
They took on a Barnsley side struggling near the bottom of the table, so on paper it looked like a game that the Baggies should come out victorious.
It wasn’t so easy for them in the end though, as they could only pick up a 0-0 draw, and according to the fans who were commenting online, Hugill, who came into the game with only one goal for the season after he signed on loan from Norwich City, was part of the reason for the result, and he was front and centre for their comments.
The 29-year-old forward came in for some staunch criticism during the match, partly set off by an incident in the first-half where he couldn’t convert a chance that could have given them the lead:
“Hugill shouldn’t be on the pitch! It’s like starting with 10 men.”
Will you be sad if Jordan Hugill leaves West Brom?
Yes
No
Hopefully he’s able to find his scoring boots sooner rather than later in order to help the Baggies maintain their push for promotion.
