A lot of Sunderland fans on Twitter were happy to hear Alex Pritchard’s recent post-match comments.

Sunderland managed to get back to winning ways on Tuesday evening when they swept aside Morecambe 4-1, which may have been expected given where the Shrimps are in League One compared to the Black Cats.

Will Sunderland earn promotion this season?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

What looked to be a real coup over the summer was the signing of Pritchard, who dropped down from the Championship having made 18 appearances in the league for Huddersfield Town and joined Sunderland on a free transfer. He netted against Morecambe last night, and claimed it was a ‘perfect night for us‘.

Many Sunderland fans on Twitter are in love with Pritchard’s comments after they were shared by the club.

What have these Sunderland fans been saying?

“Outstanding last night , onto Saturday”

@markhagan71

“Always impressed when he speaks. He was excellent tonight too. Think if Stewart didnt go down injured which probably caused concern and made the decision to take him and Broadhead off so as not to risk it, Pritchard may have got a well earned rest. But good to see him get 90 mins”

@davis0688

“Baller”

@JackSAFC06

“That beard alone is going to win us the league”

@xhannahanderson

“Best player in the league. Not even a discussion.”

@RamseySAFC

“Actually the league one version of bernado silva”

@tjbrown___

“Bloke has been unreal in last few weeks, another masterclass Saturday please”

@nicholaswilso11

Pritchard could be a big player for Sunderland this season given the experience he has at much higher levels like the Premier League and Championship, so his ability could be the difference in games when things are tight and need a bit of magic. Clearly, fans are delighted with his form.
