A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts at the latest image to emerge from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
On Thursday, Spurs earned three points in their Europa Conference League victory against Vitesse and there was a special guest to watch the game in N17.
Which CB did you prefer?
Former Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld joined the fans in watching the first game of the Antonio Conte era in N17 having left the club in the summer.
An image emerged following the 32-year-old’s visit showing the chairman, Daniel Levy, gifting the former Spurs defender with a watch as a thank you for his services whilst at the club, and these Spurs fans loved it.
What did these fans have to say?
“Bribing him into coming back, my chairman”
The Belgian international left the Londoners in June to join the Qatari side, Al-Duhail for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £11.7m (via Transfermarkt).
It is little surprise to us that Alderweireld’s efforts were recognised by Levy, however, we were surprised with the positive reaction Levy received given the recent protests against the Spurs chairman.
