A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on a fresh transfer claim to emerge ahead of the January window.
According to 90min, the new manager on Tyneside, Eddie Howe, is looking back to some of his former Bournemouth players as potential options in the upcoming transfer window.
Would Ake be a good signing?
Yes
No
It is reported current Bournemouth stars Lloyd Kelly and Jefferson Lerma are on the 43-year-old’s shortlist as well as the current Manchester City defender Nathan Ake.
And Newcastle fans flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on the claims to emerge with not all of the three players exciting the Toon Army.
What did these fans have to say?
“I’d only take Ake if I had to. I hope this isn’t true. We need a DOF straight away.”
The Toon are believed to have in the region of £190m to spend in the coming windows before coming close to being in trouble with the Financial Fair Play regulations.
However, with a reported £50m to spend in January, it is apparent these Toon fans are hoping the club is selective as to who they actually sign in January given it is not quite the war chest many will have hoped for.
