A lot of Celtic fans have flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on the latest injury update to emerge ahead of Saturday’s Scottish League Cup clash.

According to Alison Conroy, Ange Postecoglou has confirmed their striker, Giorgos Giakoumakis, will be unavailable for Saturday’s clash against St. Johnstone and at least another week with his knee injury.

The Australian manager also suggested Carl Starfelt and Tom Rogic will not be available for selection for the cup clash as both recover from their respective injuries.

Celtic fans flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on the latest update to emerge as they face a St. Johnstone side currently slumped in ninth spot of the Scottish Premiership.

What did these Celtic fans have to say?

“This guy has been injured twice so far, it’s only been 13 games and he’s played in hardly any of them…useless”

“GG needs time and a couple goals to get confident, certainly had a very shaky start. Recurrent injuries ain’t going to help that one bit”
“GG is going to struggle in Scotland I feel,”
“Didn’t look fit in the last euro game with a heavily strapped knee”
“Good big greek driftwood”
“Really hope I’m wrong but he’s looking another dud”

Since signing for the Bhoys in the summer, Giakoumakis has had a difficult start to the campaign with just five appearances in the league in which he has scored on just one occasion (via Transfermarkt).

It is apparent these fans are frustrated with the Greek striker’s lack of consistency in the side given Kyogo Furuhashi’s electric start to life at Parkhead as he tops their goalscoring chart.
