Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on The United Stand’s latest YouTube video to discuss the latest Manchester United news.

The Red Devils secured the services of Cristiano Ronaldo over the course of the summer, however, there has already been speculation suggesting he could look at other options in the near future.

These claims have emerged with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side making a turbulent start to the Premier League campaign which currently has the Red Devils trailing the top four in sixth spot.

However, it has not been a slow start from the Portuguese star who has helped himself to nine goals in 12 appearances across all competitions for United (via Transfermarkt).

(8:50) “What I want to say on this point I was asking a few days ago on this point and the answer was that Cristiano Ronaldo is not even thinking about it, to be honest. So today I don’t know what is going to happen next summer but Cristiano is not even thinking about it because of course, Cristiano is disappointed it’s not an easy moment for him with the Man United, with Portugal so he’s super disappointed about the situation.”

(9:30) “But also from people close to him they are 100% sure that Cristiano is only focusing on Man United. He’s not thinking in November I’m gonna leave the club in the summer if we are not having Champions League football. It’s not in Cristiano’s style. He’s going game by game, let’s restart, let’s win the next one and let’s change the situation for Man United.”

TIF Thoughts on Ronaldo’s future…

Over the course of his career, Ronaldo has won just about everything that is possible to be won across the league’s he has played in and it would be understandable if the 36-year-old was frustrated by the start to the season at United.

However, the season is far from done and the Red Devils sit just five points off Liverpool in fourth spot with 27 games still to go in the Premier League.

As Romano claims Ronaldo is not considering his future with the Red Devils, we would be interested to see how this situation may develop depending on the managerial situation and United’s form.
