Lots of Sunderland fans have taken to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the latest fixture update to emerge on Monday.

The club announced their upcoming clash against Lincoln City, which was scheduled for Saturday 13th November, has now been postponed.

Will SAFC finally achieve promotion this season?

Lee Johnson’s side were set to face the Imps on Wearside in the league but the game is now to be rescheduled after a number of players had been called up for international duty.

Sunderland fans flocked to the club’s official announcement on Twitter as they shared their frustrations at the latest announcement regarding the club’s fixtures.

What did these Sunderland fans have to say?

“BAN International football!!!!”

“This was always going to happen.”
“This is such a shame for all the younger fans who can’t go to the rearranged midweek evening games. I’ll have one v sad 11 year old at missing another match.”
“This is getting ridiculous. Flipping Groundhog Day. Yet another fixture rearranged to play midweek to cause a pileup. If we can’t utilise our squad enough to compete what’s the point and what message does it send out to the rest of the squad”
“It’s ridiculous”
“We love playing catch up”

The news came just a matter of hours after announcing a number of changes to some of their winter fixtures, including their Boxing Day and New Year’s Day games.

And it seems these Sunderland fans are far from amused by the latest instalment of fixture changes, which now leaves fans awaiting the new date for the game against Lincoln to be announced.
