A whole host of Sheffield Wednesday fans are buzzing on Twitter following Ciaran Brennan’s latest comments.

The Republic of Ireland man spent the first four games of this season away from Hillsborough, but was recently recalled by Darren Moore as the manager clearly thought he could make a difference to the Sheffield Wednesday team.

Will Sheffield Wednesday be promoted?

While the Owls have picked up several injuries of late – which may have been a reason as to why he was recalled – the defender has been part of a Sheffield Wednesday side that have picked up six points from their last two games, with Brennan playing 90 minutes in both.

The youngster appeared to be very level-headed as he talked up the performance from the whole team, which has seemingly pleased these fans.

A lot of Sheffield Wednesday fans on Twitter are very happy with Brennan’s comments.

What have these Owls fans been saying about Brennan?

“He’s one of our ownnnnnn”

“Blessing in disguise us not getting Mariappa, I’d much rather bring this lad through and develop him instead”

“Great interview”

“A refreshing interview, especially when talking about his friends and how he’s been on the other side, looking at the players on the pitch and how strange it feels to be one of them…don’t media manage it out of him! Fans like a bit of honesty.”

“Give him a new 5 year contract”

“Bright future this lad!”

“i know he has only started a few games but his potential warrants a new contract. tie the lad down for next 4 years”

It will delight Sheffield Wednesday fans to see someone come through their academy and now be handed their chance to start in the league – and the fact they have won back-to-back games now points towards Brennan keeping his place long-term if the Owls continue this way.
