Many Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to react to footage of Jota’s sensational goal during the 3-2 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League last night, with the defeat extinguishing the Hoops’ chances of progressing to the next stage of the competition.
The 22-year-old winger, on loan from Benfica, found the back of the net with a wonderful strike in the 56th minute after brilliantly finishing off a counter-attack started by Joe Hart.
After footage was shared online, fans raved over the clip as they were offered a lifeline against the Bundesliga club on Thursday night.

Jota has proved to be a real hit since his summer move to Parkhead, scoring four goals and providing four assists in nine Scottish Premiership games so far this season, while he has scored two goals and provided two assists in five Europa League matches this campaign for Ange Postecoglou’s side.
The Portuguese talent will be looking to maintain his excellent form when they take on Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
