Celtic fans are delighted to see Anthony Ralston called up to the Scotland first team for the first time.

Scotland recently brushed aside Moldova in a comfortable 2-0 win. Goals from Nathan Patterson and Che Adams made it five wins in five for Steve Clarke’s men, the first time that has happened since 2007.

The Tartan Army will take to Hampden Park as they entertain Denmark on Monday. Clarke will be boosted by the selection of Ralston, giving him an extra option down the right hand side as he looks to keep the momentum going. Scotland have guaranteed a World Cup Play-Off spot and momentum will be key going into that game.

How Celtic fans reacted to Ralston’s call-up

“Was beginning to think Tony would have to invade England, reclaim the throne and unify Scotland in one go before he got a shot at the Scotland team!” @StevieBoylan

“Best RB in Scotland.” @DeclanJMurphy_

“About time.” Bens1408

“Bhoy deserves it.” @weejeenie

“Yassss, king!” @keiron_

Celtic fans are clearly delighted to see Ralston finally get his first call up. The right back already has 23 games to his name this season for Ange Postecoglou’s side. The 22-year-old has found the back of the net four times already, laying four more on for his team mates (via TransferMarkt).

If he gets the nod on Monday, it will be a debut a day before his 23rd birthday, not a bad way to celebrate!
