A number of Celtic fans have been left delighted after seeing their club linked with a move for Japan international Reo Hatate.
As first reported by the Scottish Daily Mail’s Stephen McGowan, manager Ange Postecoglou wants to make the left-back his first signing of the winter transfer market window.
It explains that Hatate’s current contract runs out in January so he would be able to join the Bhoys without them having to pay a fee.

The latest update was shared on Twitter by fanpage Everything Celtic and it soon had many supporters excitedly discussing the possible deal.
Here’s what these Celtic fans said…
“If he’s as good as Ange’s other signings he’ll do fine.”
It’s clear to see just how happy these fans are to be linked with the 24-year-old as they happily discuss how well he’ll fit into their team if he does sign.
Hatate currently plays his football in the J1 League with Kawasaki Frontale. Postecoglou used to manage in Japan so he should have a good understanding of the player’s quality, which could bode well for Celtic in the near future.
