And on Monday, it was confirmed their upcoming Scottish Premiership game against St. Mirren, which was scheduled for 18th December, has been rescheduled to 22nd December due to their spot in the final.

Celtic fans flocked to Twitter to share their anger at the update to emerge on Monday as their festive schedule was slightly tweaked.

What did these Celtic fans have to say?

“December, already jam packed with fixtures, gets another one slotted in. Every year this happens, it’s an absolute nonsense. There’s absolutely no need for this, should be leaving it until after the winter break. Punishing teams for being successful.”

“In the space of 11 days 3 aways and a cup final”
“Joke. Cld have bn delayed till a midweek after the break.”
“Will it ever end!!”
“Of course it gets squeezed in there”

Great now watch as we pull some injuries out of Santa’s sack…”

The Parkhead side will now travel to St. Mirren Park just three days after the final, which will leave Ange Postecoglou’s side with five games in the space of two weeks after their final against Hibernian.

It is apparent these fans were frustrated with the update to emerge and it is not surprising given the hectic schedule ahead of them, with injuries a clear concern amid their battle for the title.
