Lots of Celtic fans have flooded to Twitter to share their thoughts on the future of one of their main men in the Parkhead dugout, Gavin Strachan.

According to reports, the first-team coach at Celtic has turned down the opportunity to leave for English League Two side Hartlepool United.

Will Celtic win the league this season?

Yes

No

No

The Poolies have been in search of a new permanent manager for a number of weeks following the departure of Dave Challinor to National League side Stockport County.

And Hoops fans flocked to Twitter as journalist Alan Nixon claimed the 42-year-old would not be leaving his post in Glasgow for the vacancy in the north-east of England.

What did these Celtic fans have to say?

“The laptop stays. SIUUUUUUU”

“That’s why he’s the GOAT. THE GOOOOOAAAATTT”
“Celtic to the core”
“Never in doubt”
“My idol”
“Coach. Tech expert. Legend.”

Strachan has only been in the job since June 2020 during Neil Lennon’s most recent spell with the club, but it seems the ex-midfielder will not be leaving now for his former side (via Transfermarkt).

And with the Hoops sitting in second spot of the Scottish Premiership table and just four points behind Rangers, it is not surprising the fans do not want to see any disruption to their squad or backroom staff.
