A whole host of Celtic fans were very happy on Twitter to see their club being linked with a move for Fernando Henrique.

Celtic managed to strike up some very smart deals over the summer in what was Ange Postecoglou’s first transfer window, with players such as Jota, Kyogo Furuhashi and Joe Hart all becoming regulars in the side and impressing on the pitch.

Will Celtic win the league this season?

The Bhoys have only ever seen two Brazilian players don their famous green and white shirt, but a third could soon be added to that list as they’re being linked with a move for 20-year-old Gremio midfielder Henrique, according to Brazillian outlet Globo Esporte.

A to of Celtic fans on Twitter are delighted with this latest transfer claim.

What have these Celtic fans been saying?

“Never heard of him but he’s a CDM and Brazilian so get him signed.”

“Looks a player tbh”

“Be a cracking signing man”

“Exactly what we need….”

“Bit rough round the edges but seems to have good ball retention attributes the rest of his game can be worked on”

“The new kante”

Henrique was moved to Gremio’s first team in March this year, but it has been a less than smooth transition given he’s only been handed three league starts, despite the Brazilian side seemingly set to drop out of the top flight for the first time in recent years.

Despite this, there seems to be plenty of optimism within the Hoops fanbase, with one fan even labelling him as the next N’Golo Kante. With the Frenchman winning plenty of silverware throughout his career for club and country, it would seem Henrique has his work cut out to emulate the Chelsea man.

However, given how Kante burst onto the scene himself at Leicester City, there is every chance history could repeat itself.
