Express & Star journalist Luke Hatfield believes that it’s always Adama Traore’s end product where he’s found lacking.

The £27m-rated 25-year-old has made more than 140 appearances for Wolves in all competitions and has also played for FC Barcelona, Aston Villa and Middlesbrough previously.

Traore signed for Wolves from Championship club Middlesbrough in 2018, with the Molineux outfit meeting the £18m release clause that he had in his contract and he put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal [BBC Sport].

No

Hatfield believes whilst he does do some amazing things, his end product is lacking, telling This is Futbol: “I mean it’s week in, week out with him, where he seems to do something amazing and it then it gets to the point where he’s got to stick the ball in the back of the net or provide a cross into a really dangerous area and it’s always the end product where he’s found lacking.”

Ahead of the Manchester United fixture earlier on in the season, Wolves manager Bruno Lage spoke with Wolves’ official club website regarding helping Traore improve, saying: “About the finishing, we continue to work, the way we work, to improve his mentality. The first step is don’t think too much about the future, just think about the next game and step by step.”

Despite predominantly having played as a right-winger during his career, Traore has also featured in a number of other positions, such as centre-forward, right and left midfield, left winger, second striker and attacking midfield showing that he offers versatility to his game.
