Wolves target Renato Sanches is built for the Premier League, says Express & Star journalist Luke Hatfield.

As per Sky Sports, Wolves were in talks with Lille during the summer transfer window to sign Sanches, with nothing materialising in the end.

However, the 24-year-old midfielder still seems to be on manager Bruno Lage’s shortlist, as The Telegraph have reported that the Midlands club are considering making another move for him.

It would not be Sanches’ first spell in England, with the Portugal international previously having a short stint at Swansea City. And while that loan move, which saw him feature just 12 times in the Premier League, did not go too well, Hatfield still believes the £27m-rated man is a good fit for English football.

“He’s a player who looks ready-made for the Premier League,” the football reporter said to TIF. “We saw him at Swansea and he maybe didn’t quite hit the heights that everyone expected and people were really expecting the most out of him then, but he was still a young player.

“And he’s still young now to be fair to him, but he’s got that physical quality where he can do a bit of everything in midfield.”

Indeed, Sanches was pretty young during that 2017/18 season, so he should not be written off in regards to his ability to play in the English top flight.
