West Ham United insider ExWHUemployee has claimed that Aaron Cresswell is expected to be ‘okay’ for the club’s next Premier League game.

In their last outing, the Hammers fell to a 2-1 defeat at the weekend.

During the match at Manchester City, the English left-back hurt his back after colliding with the post and later had to be replaced by Vladimir Coufal.

With the club’s next game taking place just three days later, Cresswell was obviously a doubt for the visit of Brighton & Hove Albion. However, while speaking on The West Ham Way podcast, Ex said the club think he’ll be fine, though they will get him to do a fitness test.

He said: “Cresswell is a doubt, they’re going to do a fitness test on him before the game. Obviously, he hurt his back sliding into the post to stop a goal, pretty much, against Man City.

“I’d imagine he’ll be okay, that’s what the club think. But they’re going to do a test on him to find that out.”

TIF Thoughts on Aaron Cresswell and West Ham…

David Moyes will no doubt be hoping to see the Englishman fit and available for the game against Brighton as he has started Cresswell in every other league match up to this point in the season.

Indeed, the left-back had played every minute so far in the Hammers’ Premier League campaign until he was forced to go off in the loss to Man City.

With the Seagulls only five points off West Ham, they’ll hope to get back to winning ways as they push for a spot in the Champions League places, though whether Cresswell’s potential absence will be a defining factor in them doing so remains to be seen.
