A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left greatly concerned after Cristian Romero suffered a recent injury for Argentina.

In the current international break, the defender was playing against Brazil as his team attempted to qualify for the 2022 World Cup finals.

In the end, a 0-0 draw was enough to see Argentina get the job done, but it didn’t come without a cost. Indeed, Romero was forced off the pitch after suffering a fitness issue.

Here’s what these Tottenham fans said…

“We are finished.”

“Well Premier League it was nice knowing you.”
“I hate international breaks so much.”
“Gutted.”
“The one player we can’t afford to have injured when we play 3 centre backs. Disaster.”
“Really annoying news. Romero has been class. Hopefully Rodon can get some minutes now tho.”
“Thanks Fab, I’m not getting any sleep tonight.”

Romero will reportedly now undergo tests to determine just how bad this injury is. As a result, he is now a doubt for Tottenham’s trip to Leeds United on the weekend.
