A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the injury update to emerge regarding defender Cristian Romero.

The 23-year-old defender suffered a leg muscle injury during Argentina’s final World Cup qualifier against Brazil on Tuesday night, which has made him a doubt for Sunday’s clash against Leeds United.

According to club insider George Bannister, the Argentine centre-back has suffered a minor strain which will likely keep him out until the early stages of December if his recovery goes to plan.

With the Argentine set to miss five games if his rehabilitation goes without a setback, Spurs fans flocked to Twitter to share their relief.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“SUIIIIIIIIIIIIIII”

“Looks like a Grade 1 hamstring strain for Cuti. A bullet dodged and great news. Get well soon”
“Excellent. Could have been much worse.”
“Tears in my eyes.”
“Best news”
“This is good news, could have been much worse an injury, and the run of games he’ll miss is favorable.”
“Great news, could’ve been a lot worse!”

Romero had played every minute of the last five league games following a turbulent opening month at the club due to injury and quarantine restrictions (via Transfermarkt).

And it seems these fans are relieved to hear Romero is unlikely to be out for a great deal of time as their next four league games all come against sides in the bottom half of the table.
