A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted on Twitter following the latest Giovani Lo Celso injury news.

Lo Celso was signed initially on loan from Real Betis, but impressed enough to earn a permanent deal in the Premier League, although Tottenham did have to shell out £29 million, which is the fourth-most they have ever paid for a player.

Will Spurs finish in the top four?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Spurs may feel that they have not got their money’s worth from Lo Celso yet, as he’s only ever scored one goal and registered three assists in the league, which becomes even more frustrating when you look at his injury record, as he’s picked up more injuries than goals during his time with the club.

This does not appear to be changing anytime soon either, with Antonio Conte revealing that Lo Celso is a doubt for Sunday’s clash against Leeds United, having picked up a knock while on international duty.

A lot of Tottenham fans on Twitter are quite glad that Lo Celso may not play on Sunday.

What have these Spurs fans been saying?

“Let’s hope he is unavailable come Sunday.”

“Great news”

“Finally some good news!”

“He must go in January”

“Please just get him out of this club. Always injured and when available sub par… we used to get on Lamela for this exact thing. I’d take Lamela 10/10 times”

“Advantage Spurs”

While we’re sure these Spurs fans do not wish any ill health on Lo Celso, you can see how his record on and off the pitch for the club doesn’t exactly make him a player who looks like he could make an impact when given the chance.

These Tottenham fans are certainly not gutted that Lo Celso could miss their clash on Sunday, but something that may be a bigger blow is that his fellow countryman Cristian Romero is set for a scan in the week to judge how severe his injury is, which was also picked up on international duty.
