Many Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Antonio Conte’s starting line-up against Everton in the Italian’s first game in charge of the Lilywhites in the Premier League.

Following last week’s defeat to Manchester United, the club moved swiftly to appoint Conte, with the Italian leading the north London club to a 3-2 victory against Vitesse Arnhem in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night in his first game in charge of the club.

However, Conte has now made the decision to include Ben Davies in his starting XI in the vital clash against Rafa Benitez’s side at Goodison Park this afternoon, knowing a victory could send his side to fifth in the league table.

What did Spurs fans have to say about it?

“Dier and Davies again..Conte out”

“WHY DAVIES”

“My guess would be mobility. I wouldn’t pick him but can kind of understand why he is in this system. Clearly shows we need to invest in that area”

@Colm7#

“Davies sigh”

@NDO28ELE

“We’re so losing this Dier and Davies in the same side”

@thrashmetalryan

“Conte… please, please watch Davies because if you do, you won’t play him again. Thank you.”

@Mum23ks

“There are at least three defenders not playing who are better than Davies. There are at least two midfielders on the bench better than Skipp. Glad to have Conte, but it’s unsettling to see this lineup again.”

@dadscribe

“This line up under Nuno I’d be crying but Conte could pick the U12’s and I’d be confident.”

@jonfaulkner13

“What?Davies again…But whatever full Trust in Conte”

@IamSAMI75

“OMG WHAT A LINE UP WE ARE ACTUALLY GOING TO SMASH THEM 7-0 COME ON CONTE”

@Jack_Coysss

Following their European victory against Vitesse, Spurs will be hoping they can continue their winning momentum against the Toffees this afternoon ahead of international break before returning to Premier League action when they take on Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 21st November.
